Santos City police director, said they immediately responded to a call via the 911 emergency police hotline about a stabbing incident inside the school at about 8:50 a.m. Acala said initial investigation showed that the victim sustained stab wounds to the right side of his neck and abdomen. School security guards arrested the suspect and turned him over to responding police officers. They also recovered from the suspect a “balisong,” or steel folding knife, measuring about five inches long, which was believed to have been used in the attack. Police brought the suspect to the police station for documentation and further investigation. Police said they informed the suspect of his rights under the law.
