Every Sith Lord In Star Wars Canon, Ranked By Power

There are more Sith Lords in the official Star Wars canon than most realize. When you take into account every passing reference and brief mention, there are currently close to 40 characters in the galaxy far, far away who've held the title of Sith and commanded the powers of the dark side of the Force. However, not every Sith Lord was created equal when it comes to power levels. Seeing as we know more about certain Sith than others, an attempt to rank every Sith Lord in the established Star Wars canon is more complicated than it might seem. After all, characters like Darth Vader, Maul, Count Dooku, and Darth Sidious have extensive stories in the current canon. At the same time, characters like Darth Nihilus and Darth Revan are indeed canonical, though they've only been referenced in canon, with many of their feats being known only through Legends material (non-canon pre-Disney stories). Keeping that in mind, this ranking prioritizes current canon when possible, while using Legends only when canonical evidence is unavailable. From incredibly obscure members to some of the most well-known masters of the dark side, here's every Sith Lord in the official Star Wars canon, ranked by power (from weakest to strongest). 39 Sissiri Darth Sissiri ranks so low simply due to the fact that there's very little information to establish a meaningful power level. Sissiri is a Sith Lord named in Rise of Skywalker whose likeness was carved into stone in Palpatine's Sith temple on Exegol, though there's not much to go on regarding his personal Force feats in the dark side. 38 Mindran Darth Mindran was another Sith Lord whose likeness was recognized by Kylo Ren when he visited Exegol in Rise of Skywalker. 37 Felkor Felkor was also famous enough to be recognized by Kylo Ren, whose likeness was also chiseled into the rocks of Palpatine’s Sith temple (though that's currently all we know). 36 Darth Sanguis Darth Sanguis appears in Dark Legends, where his pursuit of immortality leads to grotesque experiments and an unintended, disturbing transformation. He's also believed to have been the first Sith to discover Exegol. Ultimately, he was turned into a creature and servant of Darth Noctyss before being sacrificed in an immortality ritual of her own. 35 Darth Noctyss Darth Noctyss similarly pursued immortality through forbidden dark-side practices, having devastated entire worlds in her search for Exegol. However, she too was turned into a horrible creature after sacrificing Sanguis. 34 Locphet Locphet is similarly difficult to evaluate because the available material offers little insight into the Sith's power levels. That said, Locphet was recognized by both the Sith Eternal on Exegol, The Acolytes of the Beyond, and Darth Vader's own servant Vaneé, suggesting he was well-renowned and had great power. 33 Ry Nymbis A Twi'lek Sith from George Mann's Myths & Fables, Ry Nymbis was an apprentice to Darth Caldoth. While he was powerful enough to attempt a forbidden ritual to turn his master to stone, Darth Caldoth outsmarted him by reversing the ritual, with Nymbis himself being turned to stone and his statue being left on Moraband. 32 Darth Caldoth Clearly, Darth Caldoth was powerful and experienced enough to see his apprentice's betrayal coming and flip the script, though that's all we really know about the Sith master. Likewise, the story itself is an in-universe myth. 31 Darth Skrye Darth Skrye appears briefly in a Force vision in the novel Dooku: Jedi Lost. The main thing we know is that she once commanded a superweapon known as the Cauldron and shared her name with an artifact known as the Hand of Skrye. 30 Darth Tanis While canonical, little is known about Darth Tanis despite her name being used by the Sith Eternal in Rise of Skywalker. What is known is that she created the Sith temple superweapon on Malachor, as seen in Star Wars Rebels.
