Throughout the season, you'll need to interact with characters to progress through quests or spend your gold. They will only offer one per game, but it will change between these options: Max out your ammo: 500 gold Gain 100 health or shields: 500 gold Spawn a rift: 500 gold Beach Bod Batman is a special case where they'll offer you the Batman Grapnel Gun for 2,000 gold bars. For all specialists, you can hire them for 350 gold, and they'll provide perks based on their specialist class: Heavy: Deals explosive damage against enemies. Medic: Restores your health and shields. Scout: Pings nearby enemies and chests. Supply: Provides you with ammo and building materials. As part of the Hot Bat Summer update, you can also hire Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn as Scout Specialists.
