Zach Cregger's Resident Evil just got a new trailer and eagle-eyed fans have already spotted some video game easter eggs

It seems like a call-back to the Resident Evil 2 opening sequence and is just one of many easter eggs and references fans have also picked up on in the trailer. Resident Evil - Official Trailer - Only in cinemas September 18 - YouTube Watch On In classic Resident Evil fashion, Bryan finds a shotgun on a wall but no ammo, and he can be seen desperately searching a creepy, abandoned home while hiding from a zombie.When he does eventually find some shotgun shells, they're very clearly the same ones featured in Resident Evil 4, oddly enough. There is also a quick shot of a dark room, and a typewriter can be seen on the desk, a neat little reference to the save points in safe rooms from the games.It's confirmed that the Cregger adaptation is set in 1998 during the events of Resident Evil 2, but the director has confirmed Leon S.
