Following recent backend code changes pointing to Car Keys support for GWM’s Tank vehicles, Apple now appears to be preparing to expand the feature to another of the automaker’s brands. Here are the details. Car Keys in Apple Wallet reportedly coming to Haval vehicles A few weeks ago, Apple added backend references indicating that GWM’s Tank vehicles could soon support Car Keys in Apple Wallet, which allows users to lock, unlock, and start compatible vehicles using an iPhone or Apple Watch. Now, as spotted by Aaron Perris on X, similar references have appeared for Haval, another brand owned by the same Chinese automaker: Although GWM’s Haval already offers CarPlay in several of its models, none currently support Apple’s separate Car Keys feature. When support launches, compatible Haval vehicles will join more than 50 models that already work with Car Keys, including vehicles from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, Toyota, and Rivian.
