Xbox Officially Unveils New Hardware For 25th Anniversary

Microsoft’s Xbox gaming division is celebrating a big anniversary this year, and there are a few releases lined up for fans. For example, players can snag a free Xbox 25th anniversary download, which will highlight their devotion to the brand and its games. Over the past 25 years, the brand has revolutionized gaming with both console and game releases, and while things aren’t stopping anytime soon, it’s time to pay homage. Now, the company has announced a new set of hardware releases focused on honoring Xbox’s 25 years of history. The announcement was made in a post on Xbox Wire. In total, the company is releasing seven new products, all centered around the original Xbox console. Some of these products have been made in collaboration with Razer, for example, though other companies are involved with the other celebration products that have been announced. These hardware releases are all, essentially, peripherals and accessories themed after the original Xbox, released in November 2001. Xbox has teamed up with Razer, once again, to bring the Basilisk V3 Pro 35K – XBOX 25 Anniversary Edition mouse, BlackWidow V4 75% – XBOX 25 Anniversary Edition keyboard, and the Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed – XBOX 25 Anniversary Edition headphones to life. These products are all based on the iconic translucent green style that represents the original console. The company has also collaborated with 8BitDo to create the Ultimate Charging Dock for XBOX Controllers—X25 Special Edition. With Backbone, Xbox has created three versions of the Backbone Pro XBOX 25th Anniversary Edition, which serve as a controller for your mobile devices via a USB-C connection. Similarly, GameSir is producing the GameSir X5 Lite for XBOX, which connects with mobile devices. Lastly, PowerA is responsible for creating the PowerA XBOX Sling Bag, which highlights the 25th anniversary. All of these Xbox 25th anniversary hardware items are available for pre-order. These new celebration products are just the latest reveals. Earlier this year, Xbox announced the new X25 console, a limited edition of the Xbox Series X featuring a translucent green case for the console, also celebrating the brand’s 25th anniversary.
