Woman ‘raped’ in broad daylight at popular park as cops launch urgent probe

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after allegedly being raped at a park in broad daylight. Officers found the injured woman at a Sandwell park in the West Midlands on Monday at around 10.15am. West Midlands Police is now calling for any witnesses in Sandwell Valley Country Park from between 8am to 11am to contact it on 101 quoting 20/304639/26. Detective Inspector Phil Griffiths said: “In the last three weeks officers have been reviewing CCTV footage from around Sandwell Valley Country Park, examining forensic evidence, and speaking to anyone who may have vital information about what happened. “Neighbourhood officers have been patrolling the area since the incident and specialist officers will be revisiting the park today to speak to anyone who may have information. “We know the park would have been busy on a Monday morning with people enjoying the sunshine.
