Twelve arrested after brawl at Yamit 2000 water park in Holon

ByHODAYA RANAUGUST 16, 2026 03:56Twelve suspects were arrested on Saturday on suspicion of involvement in a brawl that broke out at the Yamit 2000 water park in Holon.Two security guards were lightly injured during the incident, according to medical officials.Around 3:00 PM, a report was received at the police dispatch regarding a fight at the facility. Officers from the Holon police station and forces from the Tel Aviv District deployed to the scene, gained control of the incident, and arrested 12 suspects, residents of southern Israel.All suspects were taken to the Holon police station for questioning.Following the incident, the complex was closed to visitors. Police stated that the background to the incident is criminal.One of a series of similarly violent incidents throughout the countryThe incident at Yamit 2000 joins a series of violent events documented in recent years at pools and recreational facilities across the country.This past May, a mass brawl broke out at a pool in Arad, during which chairs were thrown, and three suspects were arrested.In August of last year, an argument between a young man and a lifeguard at a pool party in Eilat escalated into a mass brawl, and six of those involved were detained for questioning.Holon itself recorded a similar incident in recent years: in July 2023, a fight broke out between two women at the "Breeza" pool in the city, in front of bathers and children.
