Why Suri Has Ditched Tom Cruise’s Surname and the Replacement She’s Chosen Instead

It's reported that Suri, who is 20, hasn't spoken to her father in several years—and is very close to her mom.In honor of Katie, Suri has now adopted the surname “Noelle,” which is Katie's middle name. It's been reported that Tom's involvement with the controversial religion of Scientology was part of Katie's motivation for initiating their divorce.When responding to questioning from ABC in 2012, Tom said, “Did she say that [she wants to protect Suri from Scientology]? That was one of the assertions, yes.”He added, “[Headlines stated] ‘He chose Scientology over Suri for good.’ ‘Has he chosen Scientology over Suri for good?’ ‘Abandoned by Daddy.’ I mean come on, that is absolutely disgusting.“I tolerate a tremendous amount, and I’m very privileged to be able to have the life that I have, and I believe that.
