Why did you spoil Border 2? Samay Raina doesn't spare Varun on Latent, actor reacts

Comedian Samay Raina did not hold back while trolling actor Varun Dhawan on the latest episode of India’s Got Latent 2. From taking a dig at the actor over Border 2 to hilariously twisting the title of his latest film, Samay had several jokes lined up for Varun.It all began when a contestant asked the judges to pick a number between 1 and 5. The 39-year-old actor picked one, saying, “I like 1.” Samay was quick to interrupt and asked, “Why did you spoil Border 2 then?” The joke left Varun laughing, but the actor was quick to defend the film. “Yaar voh chali thi (that worked),” he said.Samay then asked Varun to name his last film, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The comedian gave the title his own twist, joking, “Hai papa director toh actor toh hona hi hai,” leaving the audience and Varun in splits.Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 released on January 23, 2026. The film stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh and serves as a sequel to the 1997 war classic Border. Earlier, speaking on his appearance, Varun Dhawan mentioned that he enjoys the genre and wanted to experience the show's unpredictable format live on stage.In a press release earlier, Dhawan talked about his experience on the show and said, “Comedy is a genre I love performing and enjoy watching as well. Samay’s brand of comedy is so unpredictable that I wanted to experience it live.
