Who Voices The Characters In The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Remake

Published Nov 7, 2026, 9:41 PM EST Although Kaitlyn grew up with a passion for both video games and writing, she never imagined she'd eventually combine them into a career. Now, with several years of experience in the industry across Guides, Features, News, & Reviews, Kaitlyn enjoys nothing more than continuing to deep dive into the games she's passionate about and share her findings with readers. In her downtime, Kaitlyn enjoys unwinding with her favorite horror films, despite being a major scaredy-cat. Since The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was originally released nearly 30 years ago, it only makes sense that the remake introduced a mostly new cast filling these iconic roles. Another reason is that, unlike the original, most of the characters in the remake actually have fully voiced lines rather than occasional grunts or quick reaction lines. There's no need to worry, though, as Nintendo has made a point of casting incredible talent who you'll likely recognize from other notable projects. So without further ado, here are all the significantly voiced characters and the actors who voice-act them that you'll encounter in the English version of the remake. Deku Tree Sprout Voiced By Deva Marie Gregory The Deku Tree Sprout has only been made more adorable in the remake's new graphics, and the voice bringing the character to life is Deva Marie Gregory. Other known roles you might recognize this voice from include: Flayn (Fire Emblem Franchise) Sophie (Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar) Koume, Kotake, And Twinrova Voiced By Reba Buhr The talented voice behind Koume, Kotake, and Twinrova is none other than Reba Buhr. Though she has a history of video game voice acting, you might actually recognize her voice from roles in notable anime projects. Other known roles you might recognize this voice from include: Ivy (Fire Emblem Franchise) Riko Amanai (Jujutsu Kaisen) Ponzu (Hunter x Hunter) Karen "LLENN" Kohiruimaki (Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online) Darunia Voiced By Josh Petersdorf The English voice behind Darunia is Josh Petersdorf, and while they may not have as extensive a history as some of the others on this list, there's no doubt you'll recognize their most iconic role. Other known roles you might recognize this voice from include: Roadhog (Overwatch and Overwatch 2) King Morion (Fire Emblem Engage), Duma (Fire Emblem Heroes) Director Ton (Multiple Aggretsuko Projects) The other roles listed in this article for each actor are not exhaustive. We've just highlighted a few from popular projects or projects where each actor may have had a leading role. Ruto Voiced By Anne Yatco Voicing both young and adult Ruto is Anne Yatco. While she already has an impressive resume, you'll also be hearing her voice in another highly anticipated remake coming in the next few months: Persona 4 Revival. Other known roles you might recognize this voice from include: Chie Satonaka (Persona 4 Revival) Nobara Kugisaki (Jujutsu Kaisen) Florence (Date Everything) Raiden Shogun (Genshin Impact) Nabooru Voiced By Cristina "Vee" Valenzuela Taking on the voice of Nabooru in the Ocarina of Time remake is the legendary Cristina Valenzuela, also known as Cristina Vee. While she's had some iconic anime and animation roles, you might actually recognize her from another Zelda project, Tears of the Kingdom, where she voiced Link's Rito friend, Tulin. Other known roles you might recognize this voice from include: Killua (Hunter X Hunter) Tulin (Zelda: TOTK) Sailor Mars (Sailor Moon) Ladybug/Marinette (Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir) Homura Akemi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) Saria Voiced By Suzie Yeung Saria is one of the first characters Young Link will have a chance to get to know, and the voice bringing her to life is Suzie Yeung. Suzie has no shortage of recognizable castings, especially in video game remakes. Some of the biggest include Fuuka in Persona 3 Reload and Yuffie in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Other known roles you might recognize this voice from include: Yuffie Kisaragi (FF7 Remake, FF7 Rebirth, FF7 Revelation) Motoko Kusanagi (Ghost In The Shell (2026)) Hinako Shimizu (Silent Hill f) Sue Storm (Marvel Rivals) Fuuka Yamagishi (Persona 3 Reload) Makima (Chainsaw Man) Kaepora Gaebora Voiced By Frank Todaro Once Young Link finally has everything he needs to venture out of Kokiri Village for the first time, one of the first faces you'll meet is Kaepora Gaebora, also known as Rauru, voiced by Frank Todaro. Other known roles you might recognize this voice from include: Leif Erikson (Vinland Saga) Starscream (Various Transformers Animated Projects) Navi Voiced By Lisa Reimold Via IMDB A voice you'll get very familiar with throughout The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is Navi, Link's forest fairy companion. In the English version of the remake, she is voiced by Lisa Reimold. However, those playing with the Japanese voices are in for a special treat, as the original voice of Navi actually reprised her role from 1998. Other known roles you might recognize this voice from include: Aira Shiratori (Dandadan) Falin Touden (Delicious In Dungeon) Framme (Fire Emblem Heroes & Fire Emblem Engage) The Great Deku Tree Voiced By Richard Epcar The Great Deku Tree is where Link's journey will officially begin, and is voiced by none other than Richard Epcar, who has had several prominent roles across both video games and TV. Other known roles you might recognize this voice from include: Batou (Multiple Ghost In The Shell Projects) Ansem (Kingdom Hearts (Not KH1)) Inspector Lunge (Monster) Principal Kobayakawa (Persona 5 Royal) Older Joseph Joestar (JoJo's Bizarre Adventures) Daisuke Jigen (Lupin the 3rd) Impa Voiced By Laura Post Image via Atlus The voice of Zelda's Attendant Impa in the Ocarina of Time remake is Laura Post. Though she has several popular roles on her resume, there's no doubt that her most recognizable role, especially for many JRPG fans, is voicing Kasumi Yoshizawa in Persona 5 Royal. Other known roles you might recognize this voice from include: Kasumi Yoshizawa (Persona 5 Royal) Sophia (Date Everything) Emma Frost (Marvel Rivals) Mai Zenin (Jujutsu Kaisen) Ganondorf Voiced By Matthew Mercer Matthew Mercer is a name I probably don't need to explain, as he's one of the most prominent voice actors in the industry at the moment and even recognizable as himself because of Critical Role. That said, one of the more interesting aspects of voicing Ganondorf in the Ocarina of Time remake is that while he didn't voice him in the original, he has voiced a version of this character in Tears of the Kingdom, making this a reprisal of sorts. Other known roles you might recognize this voice from include: Himself (Critical Role) Supporting Voices (Vox Machina, The Mighty Nein) Ganondorf (Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom) Vincent Valentine (FF7 Rebirth, FF7 Revelation) Goro Majima (Multiple Like A Dragon Projects) Minsc (Baldur's Gate 3) Yusuke (Persona 5 Royal) Captain Levi (Attack on Titan) Leon Kennedy (Resident Evil 6) Cole Cassidy (Overwatch 2) Voiced By Erica Mendez Princess Zelda is one of the most important voices in the game, so it's no surprise that a legend has been brought in to voice her. Erica Mendez is a name you may or may not recognize on its own, but I can almost guarantee that you've heard of Gon, the main character of Hunter x Hunter and Mendez's most iconic role. Other known roles you might recognize this voice from include: Gon Freecss (Hunter x Hunter) Maki Harukawa (Danganronpa V3) Melissa Shield (My Hero Academia) Sailor Uranus and Reika Nishimura (Multiple Sailor Moon Projects) Ryuko Matoi (Kill la Kill) Mai Sakurajima (Rascal Does Not Dream of...) Link Voiced By Serika Hiromatsu (Young Link) And Shou Komura (Adult Link) While most of the Ocarina of Time remake characters have been given plenty of voice lines, justifying the need for English voice actors, Link remains mostly silent aside from the usual grunt and effort noises. For this reason, Link's role in both the English and Japanese versions of the game is the same, with young Link voiced by Serika Hiromatsu and older Link being voiced by Shou Komura. Other known roles you might recognize these voices from, if you typically play games or watch shows in Japanese, include: Serika Hiromatsu Young Shigaraki (My Hero Academia) Kanna (Pokemon Masters EX) Zinnia McKenna (Splinter Cell: Deathwatch) Barbara Gordon (Batman: Caped Crusader) Shou Komura Unmei Sasanami (Multiple Inazuma Eleven Projects) Takuya Seo (Gals Can't Be Kind To Otaku?!) Percival (The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse)
