From Richard E. Grant’s stunning early blunder to James Acaster and Amol Rajan pleading for their lives, the drama has been coming thick and fast over October, with even more thrills and spills still to come in the final two episodes. Who will be making it to Friday’s final? Will the Traitors trio of Maya Jama, James Acaster and King Kenny prevail? Or will the Faithfuls finally put all the pieces in place? It’s all to play for in a game that is never short of surprises, so let’s take a look at who is left in the game, and who saw their game cut short by banishment or murder. Who is left in the cast? James Acaster – Traitor Poppadoms or bread, faithful or traitor? (Picture: BBC/Studio Lambert/Cody Burridge/BBC Creative) The comedian and podcaster James Acaster has brought his deadpan wit into the game and is trying to secure a win for his chosen charity. James, 41, hosts the hugely successful Off Menu podcast, which he co-presents with The Traitors: Uncloaked host Ed Gamble. While he wanted to play the game as a Faithful, his early seduction to the Traitors’ ranks means he’s had to switch up his gameplay – will he be able to maintain it and survive all the way to the final moments? Michael Sheen – Faithful Could the proud Welshman be one of the ‘big dogs’ this series?(Picture: BBC) Welsh actor Michael Sheen has also made it to the final week in the turreted castle for an elaborate game of wink murder. The 57-year-old is used to performing in front of an audience – will he crack under the pressure as 20 pairs of beady eyes watch his every move in the Traitors castle? He featured heavily in some of the first trailers, and that made fans worried that the charismatic Twilight star would be targeted for an early exit – but he’s proven to be an authority at the roundtable and has been labelled the ‘Dad’ of the castle. Romesh Ranganathan – Faithful He might have been one of the last ones laughing, but will he be at the end game? (Picture: Anthony Harvey/Shutterstock) Radio 2 presenter, podcaster and comedian Romesh Ranganathan will be staying faithful (at least for now)in the new series of the BBC show. Romesh has proven to be a strong player among the Faithfuls, with some well-reasoned wisdom at the roundtable – but will that be enough to see him make it all the way? Maya Jama – Traitor The Love Island host is swapping the villa for the castle (Picture: BBC/Studio Lambert/Cody Burridge/BBC Creative) Love Island host Maya Jama swapped Spain for Scotland and has embraced her villain era as a Traitor on the second series of Celebrity Traitors. Maya, 32, is used to being involved with reality show games, and has fared very well as a Traitor, with little suspicion around her. But will that last? King Kenny – Traitor Fans are buzzing to see King Kenny in the line-up (Picture: Tim Markland/Pa Wire) Content creator King Kenny boasts over 2.2m followers on his well-loved YouTube channel KingKennyTv. The 29-year-old is the second social media star to enter the series, after Niko took part last year – and has already managed to make it further. On top of that, Kenny was recruited in week three after being a very strong Faithful. He has now taken on his new role with the same gusto he applied to being a Faithful – but will he be able to call upon his boxing experience to keep his cool and stay one step ahead of the competition in the castle? Leigh-Anne Pinnock – Faithful The girlband legend is entering the castle (Picture: Peter Byrne/Pa Wire) Singer-songwriter Leigh-Anne Pinnock has danced her way to the final episodes of series 2. The former Little Mix member, 35, will have to use her perceptive powers as everyone tries to make it through to the end. Joanne McNally – Faithful Joanne is a certified yapper – will she say the right thing at the roundtable? (Picture: Matt Crossick/PA Media Assignments) Podcast host and comedian Joanne McNally has proven to be a very entertaining if chaotic contestant this series. Joanne, 43, co-hosts the incredibly popular podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me, alongside Vogue Williams. James Blunt – Faithful Will James be as good at playing Traitors as he is at making heartfelt hits? (Picture: Ian West/Pa Wire) Singer-songwriter James Blunt has pleased fans of Celebrity Traitors with his variety of outfits on the series. The You’re Beautiful hitmaker, 52, is loved by fans for his sarcasm and famous comebacks on X. Will he be able to think on his feet to make it to the end? Sharon Rooney – Faithful Fans are rejoicing that the Scottish actress will be back on their screens (Picture: Matt Crossick/Pa Wire) My Mad Fat Diary star, Sharon Rooney, has labelled herself as the Poundland Poirot in the castle, and it’s worked out so far – even though she may well soon be banished following last week’s cliffhanger. The actor, 37, won’t be too far from home – Sharon is from Glasgow, a mere 191 miles south of their filming location. Sebastian Croft – Faithful The Heartstopper star shares common ground with Bella (Picture: Lucy North/Pa Wire) Actor and singer Sebastian Croft joined Bella Ramsay as one of the younger contestants at age 24. Like them, he was also in Game of Thrones. As well as acting, Sebastian makes music and posts his melodic performances on Instagram for his 1.6m followers to see. Who has been banished? Richard E Grant – Traitor Richard simply got too excited (Picture: BBC/Studio Lambert/Cody Burridge/BBC Creative) Oh Richard, we hardly knew ye. The Withnail and I actor, 69, entered the show with one goal in mind: to be made a Traitor. When Claudia Winkleman selected him, the Swazi-English star of stage and screen could barely contain his excitement. So much so that after the selection process, when Joe Lycett asked him what he was, he simply stated: Traitor. Leaving the rest of the celebs bemused by his nonchalance, Richard put an early target on his back, and despite his and fellow traitor Maya Jama’s moves to murder, recruit and take the heat off, he was simply too damn hot, and Richard became the first person to be banished from the castle. In fact, he also made Traitors history, as it was the first time a Traitor got banished in the first roundtable. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Myha’la – Faithful The Industry star, 30, will be known to many viewers after she rose to fame as Harper Stern in the hit HBO series. But fans didn’t get to enjoy the American actress for long, as the wake of Richard’s banishment seemed to seal her fate as a target for the next roundtable. The Industry star couldn’t quite save herself at the roundtable (Picture: BBC) After winking at Richard when writing his name on her chalkboard, Myha’la quickly became suspicious in many contestants’ eyes. Despite an emotional defence at the roundtable, Myha’la couldn’t convince her fellow faithful and was banished, leaving the cast reeling when faced with the truth of their mistake. Julie Hesmondhalgh – Faithful Julie is an acting icon – can her time in the castle be as legendary? (Picture: Alan Chapman/Dave Benett/Getty Images) Acting legend Julie Hesmondhalgh took a trip up to the Highlands to take part in the game of a lifetime. Sadly, the 56-year-old who is best known for her roles on Coronation Street and Mr Bates vs The Post Office didn’t last long. She became the third celeb and the second faithful to be banished from the castle after people became suspicious when she refused to share the murdered Bella Ramsay’s theories. ‘I have to say it’s harder than I thought,’ Julie told Ed Gamble after she left. ‘When you get thrown under the bus…! I was ready for it, but it was a bit hard.’ Hannah Fry – Traitor Working out who to trust is a tricky problem to solve! (Picture: Ian West/Pa Wire) Professor Hannah Fry, broadcaster and mathematician, 42, is Professor of the Public Understanding of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge. But after being recruited, eyes quickly suspected that the big brain might be a Traitor, with many wondering why else would such a formidable intelligence be kept in the competition. Despite her best efforts, she couldn’t quite get the heat off of her and was banished at the roundtable. Joe Lycett – Faithful This passionate Brummie is heading to Scotland! (Picture: Matt Crockett/Channel 4/PA Wire) Comedian Joe Lycett, 38, is known for his pranks and pageantry, but it may have led to his downfall in the castle After repeatedly telling anyone who would listen that he would love to be recruited, Lycett put himself in his fellow Faithfuls ‘ crosshairs – particularly after the Traitors did recruit but didn’t grant Joe his wish, recruiting King Kenny instead. With a target on his back, Joe was voted out swiftly after his unheard calls for recruitment. Jerry Hall – Faithful Jerry is the ex-wife of Mick Jagger (Picture: Matt Crossick Media Assignments/Pa Wire) Actress and model Jerry Hall saw her time come to an end in episode seven, after evading being murdered in plain sight The American movie star, 70, simply had too many questions around her to allow her fellow Faithfuls to keep her in the game. Speaking on her experience, Jerry said: ‘It was a lot harder than I thought. It looks so much easier on TV, you know. The challenges were quite hard, I feel it was an achievement that I managed to get through so long.’ Who has been murdered? Amol Rajan – Faithful Journalist and Metro Traitor’s columnist Amol Rajan, 43, found himself in a tougher position than some University Challenge contestants. Amol sadly was the first to go (Picture::BBC/Platform Media/James Green) Alongside James Acaster, he was brought to The Traitors and told to plead for his life, with the successful contestant being recruited, while the other would be murdered. Sadly for Amol, Traitors Richard and Maya went for James, and the coffin closed on Amol’s time in the game, becoming the first contestant murdered in this series. Bella Ramsey – Faithful They’ve played some amazing characters in their career (Picture: Yui Mok/Pa Wire) At 23 years old, actor Bella Ramsey was the youngest person in the castle. The Game of Thrones actor proved to be a popular cast member with a good level of deduction, even if Ross Kemp was convinced they murdered him in plain sight. Still, their skills couldn’t save them, and Bella was the second person to meet the Traitor’s blade. ‘I think the Traitors killed me off because they knew that I was maybe going to start doing that and get to the bottom of things,’ they told Ed Gamble after being murdered. Rob Beckett – Faithful Fans are excited for how Rob and Romesh will interact on the show (Picture: BBC/Studio Lambert/Cody Burridge/BBC Creative) Rob Beckett, comedian and TV presenter, is one of many comedians who was in the castle The Parenting Hell podcast co-host, 40, was placed inside a crypt along with Ross Kemp, the protected Leigh-Anne Pinnock and one of his contemporaries, including bestie Romesh Ranganathan. He was selected by the Traitors to be murdered over the rest of them, meeting the Traitors face to face as his fate in the competition was sealed. Ross Kemp – Faithful Will the EastEnders star remain faithful? (Picture: Crime+Investigation/Hearst Networks) Actor and presenter Ross Kemp was amongst the 21 contestants in this year’s spin-off series of the wildly popular BBC show. The 62-year-old is best known for his role as Grant Mitchell in the British soap EastEnders, and proved to be a mighty asset in the challenges – if a little paranoid. However, his fate was sealed after he was murdered in plain sight, falling foul of Maya and James’ attempts to get someone to yawn. ‘The fear of failure on this is not comparable to anything,’ Kemp said of the show. ‘Whether you’re an actor, or in a hostile environment where you could get killed, you don’t let people down. Yes, no one’s going to get killed here, but the wish of not wanting to let yourself down or the people around you, was quite the drive.’ Miranda Hart – Faithful She’s got hilariously funny bones – can she giggle her way to the final like Alan? (Picture:BBC/Studio Lambert/Cody Burridge/BBC Creative) Comedy icon, Miranda Hart, embraced her inner Miss Marple in the beautiful grounds of Ardross Castle, as she proved to be a very active member of the Faithful group – which sadly sealed her fate in episode eight as she became the Traitors’ latest target. The BBC star, 53, is known for her side-splitting series, Miranda, and for publishing an array of books over the years. Who do you think will win?
