What’s Going on With Khloe Kardashian and Her Good American Partner, Emma Grede?

Khloé Kardashian’s new reality show, The Girls, just premiered on Hulu, featuring the members of her close-knit circle of friends...which, apparently, no longer includes her Good American co-founder Emma Grede. To be clear: Neither Khloé nor Emma has publicly addressed there being any drama between them, but with The Kardashians star basically ceasing all Good American promo on her Instagram page (plus Emma’s absence from The Girls), people suspect that ~something~ is going on between the two. While a falling out has yet to be confirmed, there have been some signs of trouble dating for a while now—and here are the most recent updates in the saga to get you up to speed.January 2024: Khloé skips Good American casting call event. The first sign of trouble was in January 2024, when fans noticed that Khloé didn’t attend a Good American casting call in Los Angeles (the largest one to date!)...and Emma (who hosted) didn’t make any mention of Khloé’s absence in her Instagram post celebrating the event, either.August 2024: Khloé makes her last Instagram grid posts promoting Good American. On August 1, 2024, Khloé shared a series of three posts (here, here, and here) celebrating the Khloé Edit for Good American...only to never promote the brand again.June 2025: Kris Jenner reportedly clashes with Emma and her husband, Jens Grede.According to a June 2025 report from the Puck newsletter, Kris Jenner was considering going in a different direction from the Gredes with their business endeavors. The Gredes notably have worked with Good American, SKIMS, Khy, and the home product and wellness brand Safely (by Kris and Chrissy Teigen). The outlet reported that Kris was looking into “alternatives to her current working relationship with Jens and Emma Grede, the European retail executives who have helped build many of her famous daughters’ most successful businesses.”Jeffrey Mayer//Getty ImagesBut why? Well, according to the outlet, “the dynamic between the Kardashians and the Gredes has changed. In fact, what the Gredes are building at [their own brand] Popular Culture, their holdco, is increasingly separate from the Kardashians. Yes, Good American is still in there, but Khloé was never more than a spokesperson.”Puck also reported that growth at Good American has “slowed significantly, probably due to a mix of overdistribution and lack of meaningful participation on Khloé’s part.” As such, “the Gredes seem to be focusing on their own company over other non-SKIMS Kardashian ventures.”Add Cosmopolitan as a preferred source in your Google search results.Use your Google account to add this to your settings.July 2025: Khloé seemingly unfollows Emma on Instagram. Soon after the Puck report emerged, fans noticed that Khloé seemingly unfollowed Emma on Instagram (though, for what it’s worth, Emma still follows Khloé on the platform).February 2026: Khloé is reportedly “not involved in” anything happening with the brand. In February 2026, a source told Us Weekly that Khloé pivoted her attention to her podcast and her protein popcorn business endeavor.“Khloé is still an investor in Good American, but she has focused her time and attention on her newest podcast project and her Khloud line, for which she is hoping to release more new products soon,” the source said. “She is not involved in strategy or operations for Good American but is still an ambassador.”It’s also unclear if Emma and Khloé had a major falling out. “Khloé and Emma had a working relationship that fizzled out,” the insider added. “They aren’t close and haven’t been in a while because they don’t work closely together anymore. It’s been like this for the last year.” Khloé is, however, still attached as “cofounder of the business,” but is “not close anymore” with Emma.March 2026: Khloé tells fans she’s still a co-founder and owner of Good American.“For Good American, I’m still cofounder and owner,” she said in a March episode of her Khloé in Wonder Land podcast. “At first, I think you really want to help build the brand as much as you can, and we have definitely done that. But Good American is doing well so well and Good American is strong enough and stable enough to sustain on its own, but I am still very much co-founder and owner of the brand.”August 2026: Sources report that Khloe and Emma aren’t “on speaking terms.”In an August 23 report from The Sun, sources for the outlet revealed that Khloé and Emma have fully grown apart.“Over time, Khloé just wasn’t as involved—she started canceling events and not promoting the brand,” the source shared. “She has a lot [going] on in her personal life, as fans know, but Emma is a businesswoman first and foremost and that just didn’t wash with her.”They continued, “In theory, Khloé is still the founder of Good American but it’s Emma who does the hard work behind the scenes. I don’t think Khloé and Emma are on speaking terms now. They are both smart women who realized it was time to part ways professionally, and they had to navigate it carefully so the brand wasn’t damaged as they are both heavily involved.”
