Valve's Proton layer has been one of the best things to happen to gaming on Linux, but it's by no means perfect. Fortunately, Valve has been working hard at fixing any problems that may arise, while also adding new games into the mix. The latest release candidate build, Proton 11.0-2, has been released, and with it comes a critical fix for fans of Diablo IV. Proton 11.0-2 fixes a critical issue with Diablo IV Plus, more games are compatible with Proton now Over on the project's GitHub page, Valve details what Proton 11.0-2's release candidate has in store. The biggest tweak is a fix for an error when launching Diablo IV, which, until now, required an emergency patch to fix. Now, said patch has been added to the release candidate build, and once testing is done, it'll be released for all devices running Proton. The update also brings with it some critical fixes for some popular games, including Metal Gear Solid V, Marvel Rivals, Arc Raiders, and Path of Exile. If your game hasn't been running well under Proton lately, give this release candidate a try and see if it fixes things.
