We provided information on investment opportunities, modern technologies, production, processing and value addition opportunities available in the State in dairy and related allied sectors. During the trade show, various investors and entrepreneurs interacted with officials of the Department and held detailed discussions on investment opportunities in the Dairy sector in the state. During this, information was shared regarding the projects proposed by investors, potential investments, technical requirements and potential areas for the projects. As a result of these discussions, investment proposals totaling ₹695.18 crore have been received for dairy sector,” told Dhanalakshmi K., Dairy Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh to The Hindu. Ms. Dhanalakshmi K, the 2000-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer added, “the investment proposals received include ₹457 crore by the Ace International limited, ₹50 crore by Anjum Dairy to establish plant in Moradabad, Rampur, ₹14.65 crore by Gauri Food and Beverages and ₹12 crore by K Dairy Farm in Jhasi and Lucknow, among 18 other proposals.” The Dairy Department provided investors with information regarding the investment opportunities available for the development of the Dairy sector in the state, departmental schemes and the procedures required for implementation of projects. “The objective of the department is to increase Dairy production and productivity through private investment, develop modern dairy infrastructure, and promote value addition, processing and marketing of products,” added the 2000-batch IAS officer. The Dairy Commissioner said, “All investment proposals received will be examined by the department as per the rules. The objective is to complete the circle of dairy from production till marketing with modern technology, innovations, processing and value addition, quality control thus increasing the income of farmers, entrepreneurs and also reaching the target one trillion-dollar economy through dairy sector of Uttar Pradesh,”.
