She said the ride to the destination was completely fine, but the problem began on her way back.According to her post, around three to five minutes into the return journey, the driver told her that the fare was not enough and asked her to pay extra for the toll. She said she told him that the toll was already included in her fare and that she had taken the same route before, with no previous driver asking her to pay separately at the toll gate. She said she even suggested that they call Uber to confirm whether the toll was included. Instead, the driver allegedly told her to “GET OUT OF THE CAR” in the middle of a busy three-way intersection. The woman said she refused to get out in the middle of traffic. The driver then allegedly pulled over to the side of the same intersection and told her to get out there. She eventually left the vehicle and waited for around 10 minutes for another Uber. She said she felt uncomfortable in the area.According to her account, the second Uber driver took her home using the same route without asking her for any additional toll payment. The woman said she later contacted Uber to confirm the fare and was told that the toll was included. She also reported the incident to the company. She said she knew she was “not the only person” to whom this had happened and called for the practice to stop, describing it as dangerous. In an update to her Instagram post, the woman said Uber had contacted her and told her it had “reduced the likelihood” of matching her with the same driver again. However, when she asked what would happen if she was matched with him, she said Uber told her to cancel the ride. The woman raised a safety concern over that response, saying that by the time she was matched with the driver, he would already have her location. She has urged Uber and the police to investigate the incident and verify the circumstances.Police have responded to her social media post, saying they had forwarded the case to the concerned department.- Ends
