Trusselina Announce Debut EP The Point’s A Truss, My Trusselina: Hear “The Club”

Hayden McGarvey (formerly of Bleary Eyed) and Mikaela Oppenheimer (ex-Hello Mary) introduced their new project Trusselina back in July with a pair of promising tracks, "“Gastro" and "Trusselina Archimboldi." The songs positioned the Philly duo right alongside fellow Bard affiliates ear in the rising wave of glitchy, folky indie-electronic acts with a twee disposition. Today, they're back with more music and news on their debut EP.The intriguingly titled The Point's A Truss, My Trusselina is out in just a few weeks. It has Trusselina's summer singles plus "The Club," out today. The electro-acoustic track steadily percolates in a way that sounds like a shimmer, and the pitch-shifted vocals contribute to the surreal sensation. "The lyrics are about being sneaky and feeling guilty," McGarvey explains in a press release.The vocal hook from this one is already stuck in my head.
