Trump dumps on Paxton’s clothes. And Paxton’s OK with that

Trump earlier this week was speaking about Ken Paxton, his pick in the tightly contested race for US Senate in Texas. Trump likes Paxton, who is the Texas attorney general. But the president apparently hates Paxton’s clothes. “Ken Paxton, you might not like the way he dresses,” Trump told Republicans lawmakers at a gathering in the White House Rose Garden on Tuesday. “And I say this, it’s so insulting to him, but I might as well say it. He was maybe the best attorney — and everybody admits it.”Paxton, who is in a close midterm race with Texas state Rep. James Talarico, on Thursday responded to the president’s barb during an interview on Fox News. “I’ve got this sports jacket on and I love it,” Paxton said. “Texas is a relatively casual place in the summer.
