Tottenham in advanced Savinho talks after beating off transfer competition from Ruben Amorim’s AC Milan

TOTTENHAM appear to have moved to the front of the queue in the race to sign Manchester City winger Savinho. Milan had initially registered an ambitious interest in Phil Foden as a potential replacement for Rafael Leao. However, following Foden’s new contract extension with Manchester City and the complex finances involved, the Italian giants have officially turned their full attention toward Savinho. Viewing Savinho as a more plausible option, Milan are preparing a loan offer featuring a mandatory buy-out clause structured around €50-55 million (£43m-£47m). The Italian side also see the Brazilian as the ideal replacement for Leao, who awaits Fenerbahçe meeting Milan’s demands of no less than €50m (£43m). Man City have not yet received formal offers from either Spurs or Milan, as Enzo Maresca‘s side assess their own squad depth. City are open to letting Savinho depart – as they were last summer – but any final green light depends strictly on securing their own winger reinforcements first.
