Thrillville Comeback Seemingly Teased By Lucasfilm Games

Thrillville Just Got Mentioned By Lucasfilm Games, And Everyone Thinks It's Coming Back Published Oct 25, 2026, 9:32 AM EDT George is the Lead News Editor for TheGamer, and has been working in the industry since 2021 after graduating from the University of South Wales with a bachelor's degree in Journalism. Sign in to your TheGamer account The official Lucasfilm Games Twitter account has randomly shared a post about Thrillville that implies the series is making its long-awaited comeback. Lucasfilm Games (or LucasArts, if you're a real one) might primarily be known for its extensive library of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and point-and-click games, but there was a time when it put out a surprising number of original titles. Mercenaries and Fracture quickly jump to mind (if you remember they existed at all, that is), but the highlight of weird Lucasfilm outings was Thrillville. Thrillville was a theme park simulation game with the unique twist of letting you run around the park and interact with rides and guests to see how your ridiculous creations are doing. The last game in the series, Off The Rails, released all the way back in 2007, and we’ve heard nothing about it since then. That just changed out of the blue. Lucasfilm Games Mentions Thrillville, And Everyone Thinks Something Is Coming I’m Betting Remaster, But I’d Love To Be Surprised Earlier this week, the official Lucasfilm Games account randomly decided to punch us all in the gut with nostalgia with a post about Thrillville. The post sums up the plot of the first game and says inventing new rides isn’t “for the faint of heart”, before ending with, “Are you up for the challenge?”. Since it’s nearly been 20 years since Thrillville first released, you might think that the post is just tied to the anniversary. That isn’t the case, though, as Thrillville launched on November 21, so we’re quite a way away from the two-decade celebration. The use of present tense in the tweet also implies it’s not a throwback post. Looking back through Lucasfilm Games’ tweets does show some nostalgic highlights, but they’re usually tied to a date or event. Thrillville is being mentioned with no real reason, which makes it all the more noticeable. While it’s possible that Lucasfilm Games is just nostalgia baiting us all with one of its most underappreciated gems, the replies and quotes are clearly taking it as a hint that something is being done with the series. The most likely answer, especially with the focus on the first game, is some kind of remake or remaster, but it could be something new. Whatever the case, I can't believe Thrillville has even been mentioned.
