The actor said she would often lie on her side for hours while playing games and watching videos, sometimes getting up only for tea or coffee. She also spoke about the intense pain she experienced and urged people to be more careful about their phone usage.In the video, she is seen at Medway Hospital in Chennai and later recovering at home after undergoing surgery. She said that she had been advised to wear a neck collar while recovering by the doctor who performed the procedure.“I used to lie sideways in my bed and play games on my phone for up to four hours straight. I would only get up to have some tea or coffee. After drinking my tea, I’d come back and resume the same game,” she said. She added that she would then spend hours watching videos and reels. According to the actor, her prolonged phone use and posture eventually caused serious problems with her neck. She claimed that the condition became severe enough to require surgery, which cost her Rs 3 lakh.‘A phone is useful, but don’t use it more than necessary’ The actor is Shakila. She also spoke about the difficulties she faced after the surgery. She said she needed assistance even to get out of bed and eat during her recovery.“A phone is a very useful object, but do not use it more than necessary,” she said.She also used humour and self-deprecation when recounting her experience, but stressed that she wanted viewers, particularly parents, to take her warning seriously. “Use the phone only for essential things.
