This Republican Wants Voters to Consider a Post-Trump World

John E. Sununu, endorsed by President Trump but running a careful campaign in New Hampshire, aims to appeal to Republican voters who may be looking beyond Trump's leadership. This strategic distancing reflects a broader trend among some GOP members who are considering the possibility of a post-Trump future, signaling a shift in party dynamics. Sununu's approach underscores the ongoing tension within the party between loyalty to Trump and the need for a fresh vision in the Senate race. This move could indicate a strategic effort to broaden his appeal and navigate the complex political landscape ahead.
