It’s an issue mum-of-two Anaïs Lombard experienced with her own kids, so she founded Morning Marvels, creating soft, sensory-friendly sleepwear made from breathable Tencel modal for children aged three to 13.What’s the promise?Morning Marvels PJs ensure a friction-free night’s sleep. By removing scratchy labels, tight collars and internal seams, they aim to soothe sensitive, reactive skin, prevent overnight temperature spikes and eliminate meltdowns.What’s the science?According to consultant dermatologist Dr Justine Kluk, ‘When skin is inflamed, even small sources of friction can add to itching and discomfort. Children who have eczema often tell me that a scratchy label can be impossible to ignore. Features such as printed labels can help minimise rubbing against the skin and make clothing more comfortable.’What’s the verdict?I road-tested the pyjamas on my six-year-old daughter, who has suffered horrible eczema since she was a baby. The fact she asks every night to wear the ‘tight pyjamas’ (they cling to the skin to prevent itching) shows what a win they are.
