It began with reports that Jensen Huang was having an affair with the executive of Megaspeed International, Alice Huang. Unnamed sources claim that American surveillance uncovered that Alice Huang worked for Beijing’s Ministry of State Security, which it believes wanted information about Nvidia's intelligence chips and potentially wanted to convince Jensen Huang to ship its most sophisticated semiconductors to China. At the time, Jensen Huang said his relationship with Megaspeed was "normal and not unusual," but sources claim his ties with Alice Huang were romantic. Now, Jensen has admitted to the affair in a memo to Nvidia staff, where he apologises for his actions: "I owe my family and all of you an apology. I was unfaithful to my wife. My actions hurt her and our children. There is no excuse for what I did. I am deeply sorry." The Nvidia board states that it has "no reason to believe that either national security or Nvidia secrets were compromised," but it will still perform a full, thorough investigation to ensure everything is safe. Jensen Huang has stated that he'll support the investigation, stating that he is "committed to protecting Nvidia and supporting America’s national security."
