'The Mummy 4' Officially Confirms Return of 2 Fan-Favorite Characters

Original stars Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are set to return to the series for a new film from Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the film-making collective known as Radio Silence. And those aren't the only two who are set to return to the franchise. As reported by Deadline, two familiar faces will be joining Weisz and Fraser in the new movie. Oded Fehr and Kevin J. O'Connor, both of whom starred in 1999's The Mummy, with Fehr also returning for The Mummy Returns in 2001, have been added to the cast of the new film. Fehr played Ardeth Bay, a member of an ancient order dedicated to preventing the return of long-buried evils from the desert sands. O'Connor, meanwhile, played Beni Gabor, a treacherous and cowardly treasure hunter; Beni was last seen trapped in an ancient tomb, about to be devoured by a swarm of flesh-eating scarab beetles, but this is a franchise based on crossing the lines between life and death, after all. Joining them is Numan Acar, a newcomer to the franchise; a veteran of the TV series Homeland and films like Spider-Man: Far From Home and Desert Warrior, Acar can currently be seen on Prime Video's Young Sherlock.
