It kicks off with a regular showcase and is followed straight after with a State of Play Japan, focused on games developed in Japan and Asia. It has promised "new gameplay, announcements, and more." The doubleheader kicks off on September 3 at 6:00 am PT / 9:00 am ET / 2:00 pm BST / 3:00 pm CEST / 10:00 pm JST and will be available to watch on PlayStation's YouTube and Twitch channels. PlayStation State Of Play September 2026 Predictions PlayStation has already confirmed that its September State of Play will end with an "extended look" at Final Fantasy 7 Revelation (a game we played at Gamescom this year, and will have more on soon). Everything else has been kept secret. It's almost a given that, with how close we are to its release, Marvel's Wolverine will receive one final marketing push, and God of War Laufey is also likely to appear. It could be time to find out what's next for Game of the Year winner Astro Bot, although it might be a little premature, and we know Media Molecule has been up to something since the 2020 release of Dreams. Bend is another studio that has been exceptionally quiet. Until Dawn 2 could also be set to appear again, after its surprising reveal earlier this year, and Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is probably due a new trailer. The final first-party title we may see is Fairgames, although there's likely to be some serious trepidation around it given what's happened with the likes of Concord and Highguard. One game from Sony we almost certainly won't see is Horizon Hunters Gathering. As PlayStation's live-service gambit continues to falter, reports have suggested the game is receiving a full reboot. Tomb Raider, Stranger than Heaven, and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn are three games that could certainly appear, and we could get another look at Resident Evil: Veronica.
