Tesco officially rolls out new meal deal snack across over 600 locations

It is now available as part of both the standard and premium meal deal ranges. Pot Noodle owner Unilever said the decision was spurred on by the viral “Pot Noodle sandwich” trend, which reached more than 7.7 million people last year. The 92g pots will feature “Meal Deal Snack” labels on the packaging to promote the iniative. Chicken & Mushroom was selected for the rollout as it is Pot Noodle’s bestselling and most widely distributed flavour. Unilever Mini Meals UK&I marketing manager Madeleine Boulton said: “We are delighted to grow our partnership with Tesco and bring Pot Noodle to shoppers as part of the much-loved meal deal. “We know consumers are always looking for ways to get more value and a better lunch and there has been a lot of hype on social media pairing Pot Noodle with sandwiches, so this felt like the right moment to take the partnership further.” Most read in Money The noodle pots will be part of Tesco’s standard meal deal, which is priced at £4.25 or at £3.85 for Clubcard holders.
