TARON Egerton has revealed he went no-contact with his dad years ago — and “pushed the ejector seat” on their bond. He said of his father, who is now in a music band, that they had a “fairly functional” relationship in his childhood. He continued: “I’m reluctant to talk in too much detail about him because he’s, you know, living his own life and doing his own thing and I’ll always love him. “I do love him. “I just don’t think we work very well in terms of our relationship. Taron is best known for starring as Eggsy in the Kingsman series, as well as playing Sir Elton John in his biopic Rocketman, for which he won a Golden Globe for Best Actor. And it was during his time on the former movie, back in 2017, where he formed a strong bond with co-star Colin Firth. He said of the Pride and Prejudice star: “Colin was amazing. “He was never anything other than kind of gentle and fatherly and understanding. “He was always, he was always lovely to me”. The screen star – who was spotted on dating app Raya last month – has previously spoken to People.com about his family dynamic. He said: “My father was in my life, [but] not day-to-day in the home environment. So I guess I’m probably more what you would describe as feminine masculine than masculine masculine. “But I like that about myself. “I like that I’m hopefully quite empathetic and in touch with my feelings — probably a bit too in touch with them. “But I had a great mum, she worked really bloody hard for me.
