Stray Kids, Karol G, Taylor Swift & More: Highlights of This Week’s Billboard Charts

As all charts update each Tuesday morning, here’s a look at highlights of the latest rankings, dated Aug. 22 and reflecting the Aug. 7-13 measurement week, according to data tracker Luminate. Among this week’s chart stars are Stray Kids, Karol G, Ella Langley, Taylor Swift and Drake. Stray Kids score their ninth No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart as THIS & THAT debuts. The set earned 369,000 equivalent album units in the United States, marking the group’s biggest week by units. Of that sum, traditional album sales comprise 357,000, likewise landing the act its best sales week. Stray Kids also move further into elite territory: They tie The Rolling Stones for the second-most Billboard 200 No. 1s among groups, dating to the chart’s start as a regularly published survey in 1956. The Beatles lead all acts with 19 No. 1s. Plus, Stray Kids celebrate their first Billboard Hot 100 top 40 hit as the new set’s title cut debuts at No. 38. It begins with 4.3 million official U.S. streams and 23,000 sold, combining physical and digital sales. “We’d like to cherish this moment together with you and with everyone, everywhere all around the world,” Stray Kids’ Felix marveled of the album’s No. 1 entrance. It also bows as her fifth No. 1 on Top Latin Albums — and marks the first time that Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos hasn’t led since the Jan. 24-dated list. The latter has logged a record 77 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 on Top Latin Albums since January 2025. Ella Langley “Choosin’ Texas” rules the Hot 100 for an 18th week, moving to within a week of potentially tying for the longest command among non-holiday songs in the survey’s history. Shakira X Burna Boy Soccer’s signature competition wrapped nearly a month ago, on July 19 when Spain defeated Argentina in the tournament’s final match, but Shakira and Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai (FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026)” still triumphs as the biggest song in the world, topping the Billboard Global 200 for a fifth week and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for an eighth frame. Tame Impala “Loser” bounds to the top 10 on both global charts, sparked by its sync in the new blockbuster Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Drake “Shabang” goes No. 1 on Rhythmic Airplay, where it’s his record-extending 46th leader. Bebe Rexha & David Guetta “Sad Girls” hits No. 1 on Dance Airplay, becoming Rexha’s fifth leader and Guetta’s record-extending 22nd. Madonna & Kylie Minogue Image Credit: Rafael Pavarotti Two dance-pop divas equal one new top 10: “Love Sensation” debuts at No. 9 on Hot Dance/Pop Songs after the first full week of tracking for its duet version. It’s the third top 10 on the chart from Madonna’s album Confessions II, joining “Bring Your Love,” with Sabrina Carpenter (No. 7 peak), and “Danceteria” (No. 10). Plus, the set’s lead track, “I Feel So Free,” reached No. 12. The LP led Top Dance Albums for three weeks beginning in July. Xavi “Dosis” becomes the singer-songwriter’s sixth No. 1 on Latin Airplay. Whitney Houston Boasting all 11 of Houston’s Hot 100 No. 1s, WH1TNEY marks the late legendary vocalist’s first entry on the Billboard 200 since 2017 and her 16th charted project overall.
