Katie Miller, the wife of one of President Donald Trump’s top aides, has laid blame on a baffling scapegoat after Republican midterm candidates were shellacked by their Democratic opponents in Tuesday’s elections. “You see that moms are too busy raising their children and taking care of them to go to the polls,” Miller told CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell. Miller, who has four children with White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, admitted that she didn’t even vote. “I did not vote in Virginia because in Virginia when you vote, you dox your own address, and so I prefer my own safety and security over giving that up,” she said when O’Donnell asked if she exercised her fundamental right. Miller reportedly called police in September 2025 after a group of protesters wrote messages in chalk outside her home that read things like “Stephen Miller is destroying democracy.”Katie Miller, the wife of one of President Donald Trump’s top aides, has laid blame on a baffling scapegoat after Republican midterm candidates were shellacked by their Democratic opponents in Tuesday’s elections (Getty Images)She described the messages of Fox News as “terroristic threats,” but a police report obtained by Zeteo said the messages were “non-threatening.”Miller’s latest comments are particularly puzzling, given that just hours before, she described conservatives having more kids as an advantage to the party. “Election Day always makes me want to have more kids to cancel out the votes of the America-hating leftists,” she wrote on X. “After all, conservatives have more babies.”Despite Trump spending most of last month campaigning for Republicans, Democrats are poised to take control of the House and the Senate. 'You see that moms are too busy raising their children and taking care of them to go to the polls,' Miller said (Getty Images)Democratic Senate candidates swept the midterms in reliably Republican states, including James Talarico in Texas, Roy Cooper in North Carolina, Annie Andrews in South Carolina, Josh Turek in Iowa, Adam Hamilton in Kansas and Sherrod Brown in Ohio.Democrats have been celebrating what they call a blue tsunami as MAGA bro influencers spiraled with comments about the next two years being “pure hell.” Trump admitted in a Fox News interview that Democrats “did a good job,” but he fell short of blaming himself — and his record-low approval ratings — for the crushing defeat. “I wasn’t on the ballot, and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE!” he wrote on Truth Social.
