The cheeky briefs are actually from Ann Summers, and available on the M&S website in sizes six to 18. Sign up for the Fabulous newsletter Thank you! Retailing for £12, the thongs come in red, blue and black – with a distinct lack of crotch. Mumsnet members had mixed reviews on the new knickers, and now M&S shoppers have headed to social media to share their thoughts – and opinions are divided. One user posted to X: “I’ve been buying @marksandspencer bras nearly all my adult life (50 years). “No more.” Another added: “DISGUSTING. M&S sells crotchless underwear.” And one said: “I’m certainly no prude, and I saw the same ad yesterday and it unsettled me. Most read in Fabulous “I just don’t associate M&S with crotchless knickers!” While another commented: “While I am jolly glad that the repression and hypocrisy of the puritanical ages are over, even I balk at Marks & Spencer now selling crotchless underwear! “Not my cup of tea as a viewer and nor do I want to wear it!” However, others seemed to see a more humorous side to the saucy pants. “Blimey, who’d have thought M&S would go from wholesome family fare to crotchless knickers,” said one user. “What’s next, a coffee table book on quantum computing for toddlers?” Another declared: “Major UK department store launches Summer of Sex” “Personally I go to Marks & Spencer for the biscuits, gusset doesn’t factor into my arrangements,” shared one Facebook user. Another joked: “Are they part of the meal deal?” One user even proposed a tongue-in-cheek, risqué rebranding more in line with new knickers: “BDM&S.” Comment now
