THE second series of Saturday Night Live UK has landed a HUGE Hollywood A-lister as the host – and a Glastonbury star will join the first show. SNL UK, created by Lorne Michaels, premiered on Sky One back in March. The American actor has starred in the likes of Jurassic Park, The Fly, Independence Day and Wicked. She performed on the iconic Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury last year. And fans will be treated to new episodes on September 12, 29 and 26, as well as October 10, 17 and 24. The show’s official press release states that “additional shows” are “planned in early 2027”. It includes Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young. An insider told us at the time: “Saturday Night Live is a show which doesn’t hire huge stars to join the cast. “It’s less well known, though no less gifted, performers who became famous through doing the show. “That’s exactly what Sky wants to do with the UK version – nurture up-and-coming talent. “SNL gets a sprinkling of stardust largely from the long line of celebrity guest presenters who play host and take part in many of the sketches, changing every week, plus the a-list musi act.” Saturday Night Live hit American screens in 1975.
