Sara Duterte impeachment: PSA says no ‘Mary Grace Piattos’ in records

Philippine Statistics Authority Assistant National Statistician Marizza Grande appears in the Senate to testify in the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte. (Senate PRIB) MANILA, Philippines – Mary Grace Piattos, a supposed recipient of the Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) confidential funds, has no records with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), a statistician reiterated on Monday. Based on the acknowledgement receipts submitted by the OVP to the Commission on Audit to justify its use of CFs, Piattos received P70,000 as payment of rewards. During the impeachment proceedings, PSA Assistant National Statistician Marizza Grande verified that Piattos has no records of birth, marriage or death. (Out of the 1,992 OVP list of payees, we found that 1,287 had no record of birth, no record of marriage, or no record of death in the database.) She added that 1,322 have no live birth certificates, 1,456 have no records of marriage, and 1,593 have no death certificates.
