Saquon Barkley becomes latest high-profile athlete targeted in home invasion Over the past few years, multiple athletes have dealt with home invasions. Just a few of these athletes include Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson, Luka Doncic, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Julio Rodriguez. In Burrow’s case, in particular, three men were indicted after stealing nearly $300,000 in jewelry and luxury items, including luxury luggage. The men indicted, Jordan Francisco Quiroga Sanchez, Bastian Alejandro Orellana Morales, and Sergio Andres Ortega Cabello, were believed to have been members of a South American theft group. There’s no doubt the morning of July 18 was targeted in Barkley’s case, as NFL Training Camp opened just one day prior on July 17. It has not yet been revealed what the home invaders came away with in the robbery from Barkley’s residence. Barkley is heading into his ninth NFL season, and his third with the Philadelphia Eagles. The three-time Pro Bowler boasts 8,356 career rushing yards with 55 touchdowns. He was integral to Philadelphia’s 40-22 blowout victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. Barkley is coming off a bit of a down season, in which he rushed for 865 fewer yards than the season before in as many games.
