Directed by Mehreen Jabbar and written by Aliya Bukhari, the upcoming serial sees the actors once again play a married couple, but with a markedly different relationship dynamic. The cast recently unveiled the teaser for the drama, offering a glimpse into a couple navigating the challenges of trying to conceive while dealing with the everyday realities of married life. Their reunion has already caught the attention of fans, with many taking to social media to express excitement about seeing the Kafeel co-stars explore a new chapter of marriage on screen. In Kafeel, Saeed and Irfani played Zeba and Jami, a married couple whose relationship was shaped by Jami’s toxic and domineering behaviour. Written by Umera Ahmed and directed by Meesam Naqvi, the drama centred on the impact of Jami’s actions on his family. The role of Zeba also left a lasting impression on Saeed beyond the show’s ratings. She previously spoke about hearing from women who personally connected with the drama’s difficult themes, describing those responses as heartbreaking. She said that if even one woman’s life changed because of her work, she would consider the role’s mission accomplished. Saeed has also previously reflected on the experience of playing a mother of four for the first time, praising the energy and professionalism of her younger co-stars and saying that they quickly became friends on set.
