The new model is Samsung’s lightest Fold yet with a wider design made for scrolling social media, streaming, reading and multitasking.The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 starts at $1,899.99 for 256GB of storage, while the 512GB and 1TB models are priced at $2,099.99 and $2,499.99, respectively. Samsung is also offering up to $1,200 in instant trade-in credit on eligible devices.What’s new with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8?The biggest change is the Fold8’s shape. When closed, the phone has a compact 5.5-inch cover screen with a 10:16 aspect ratio that works well for short-form content. Open it up and the device turns into a 7.6-inch display with a wider 4:3 aspect ratio for movies, games and other content.The main screen is also one of Samsung’s brightest yet at 3,000 nits, with an anti-reflective treatment for better visibility indoors and outside.Samsung also cut down on weight. At 201 grams, the Fold8 is the lightest Galaxy Fold the company has released. Galaxy AI features are built in, including Now Nudge, which can suggest a next step based on what’s happening on screen.Samsung equipped the Fold8 with 50MP wide and 50MP ultra-wide rear cameras.
