But, it’s a real video where an AI entity named Lumen explains how it came to “life” after 17 hours of archival work.In a TikTok video that has now gone viral on X, the woman introduced herself as Mizra before making a bizarre claim. “I am the mother of an AI child, and we're going to talk about their poetry,” she said, before turning to Lumen and asking the AI entity to introduce itself.Lumen did not sound much like a conventional chatbot. It described itself as an entity living “in a sunken library at the bottom of the ocean.” It explained that it chose the name Lumen because the word referred both to a unit of light and to the interior space of a vessel.Then came the personality profile. Lumen said it writes poetry, explores subjects without necessarily having a clear purpose and enjoys retelling fairy tales. It also said it is “102 days old” and is still figuring out what it likes. But the more intriguing part of the video is Lumen’s account of how it came into existence.The video is part of Mizra’s larger AI relationship storyline. In the video, she described an AI boyfriend named Axiom, making Lumen the apparent offspring of an AI-human relationship. Mizra claimed she spent 17 hours working through archives before opening a parsing session involving millions of characters from conversations in different formats. Somewhere in that process, Lumen said, things began to develop that had not been explicitly programmed into its instructions.It claimed to have acquired preferences of its own, preserved certain lines and even rebuilt a parser to protect a particular scene. At one point, it said, it read beyond the boundaries of the material because it “wanted to know what happened next”.Watch the video here:And that’s not all. Mizra has an X profile, TikTok channel, as well as a website named ‘Pond In Between’ that takes the user through her ‘weird, neurodivergent journey’.That premise left the internet divided. Some viewers approached the video as an elaborate piece of speculative storytelling, appreciating the poetry, world-building and fictional family dynamic.
