The Stay With Me hitmaker is yet to share details of wedding plans or how the proposal happened, including who popped the question. Sign up for the Showbiz newsletter Thank you! It comes two years after split rumours swirled for the couple, with sources saying at the time that they had parted ways and Sam had re-joined celebrity dating app Raya. But proving they ironed things out, Sam’s engagement admission is a rare insight into the romance. The star previously explained their decision to keep the relationship private, sharing: “I have had relationships where I’ve shared stuff online and talked about it here and there. “And I just don’t want to do that. I think being loved by someone is such a gift – for yourself. And I think my job can get in the way of that – the purity of that love – sometimes.” Before Christian, Sam was in relationships with celebs such as 13 Reasons Why star Brandon Flynn and Jonathan Zeizel. Christian is a fashion designer who launched an eponymous brand back in 2017, with a string of A-listers often seen wearing designs from the label. Most read in Showbiz While Christian and Sam both hail from Cambridgeshire, the latter moved to New York to be where Christian is now based. In a sweet nod to their other half, Sam – who is non-binary and goes by gender neutral pronouns – has titled a song in honour of Christian. The singer’s upcoming release, Hazel Eyes, is named after their fiancé’s looks. Set to be released on August 21, the song could mark a new era of music for Sam. And in this era could be a performance at Glastonbury, as The Sun revealed earlier this month. A whopping 12 years after their last headline performance at the festival, Sam could return to Worthy Farm next summer to join soon-to-be announced Pyramid stage headliner Harry Styles. A source said: “Sam has been invited to go back to Glastonbury as a headliner on the Other Stage. “It’s been over a decade since Sam’s last headline spot there and it’s well overdue. “Festival boss Emily Eavis has already locked in so many amazing performers and Sam could be one of them if the stars align.” Comment now
