Russian drone attacks on the city of Kherson on the morning of Saturday, Aug. 29, killed one man and injured at least three others, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration. In the Korabelny district, a man was killed by a direct drone strike, and authorities are currently working to establish his identity. In the Dniprovsky district, a Russian drone attacked a 54-year-old man, leaving him hospitalized with explosive trauma and chest shrapnel wounds. Additionally, a 57-year-old man was targeted near a medical facility in the city center, sustaining a concussion and explosive trauma. The morning strikes follow a 24-hour period across the broader Kherson region. According to the regional administration, Russian attacks on Friday, Aug. 28, killed one person and injured 26 others, including a child. Those strikes caused extensive damage to civilian infrastructure, hitting seven multi-story apartment buildings, 15 private homes, a cellular tower, a gas pipeline, and multiple vehicles, including ambulances. Deadly Bucha district explosions The strikes in the south coincide with recovery efforts following a major detonation at an ammunition warehouse in the village of Myla, Bucha district. Kyiv Regional Governor Tymur Tkachenko reported on Saturday that the death toll from the Friday night secondary explosions has risen to at least 37 people, with 42 others injured, including four children. Tkachenko noted that the final number of victims is still being determined as rescue operations and debris removal continue.
