RSHP unveils tripartite Shanghai skyscraper informed by historical laneways

RSHP has designed One Shanghai, an innovative 186-metre skyscraper in central Shanghai that's inspired by the city's traditional laneways. This 38-storey mixed-use tower, situated near the Zhang Garden retail area, features three distinct volumes housing offices, retail spaces, and public areas. The design reflects a thoughtful nod to Shanghai’s architectural heritage while aiming to integrate modern urban living and commercial needs. This project is significant as it represents a blend of historical context and contemporary design, potentially influencing future urban developments in Shanghai.
