Published November 4, 2026 02:11 PM Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said on Monday that the team would not be making a quarterback change for their Week 9 game against the Giants, but it appears he has changed his mind. ESPN reports that Joe Milton will get the start this week. Tanner McKee has started all three games since Jalen Hurts was placed on injured reserve and the Eagles have lost all three of those contests. Milton was signed off the Cowboys’ practice squad when Hurts was placed on injured reserve. He has not appeared in a game for the Eagles, but made five appearances for the Patriots and Cowboys over the last two seasons. He was 37-of-53 for 424 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions while also running 15 times for 66 yards and a score. Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio called the trade that landed this week’s opposing quarterback J.J. McCarthy a “steal” for the Giants and the Eagles will look for a similar offensive jolt from Milton when the NFC East teams face off this week.
