Registration for Hajj 1448 AH to open soon in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs announced the date for opening of registration for Omani citizens and residents wishing to perform Hajj for the 1448 AH season.Registration will be conducted electronically through the website www.hajj.om from September 28th to October 11th. In a statement, the Ministry emphasised that Hajj companies are prohibited from interfering in the registration process to ensure transparency and allow eligible pilgrims the freedom to choose their preferred Hajj company.The Ministry indicated that pilgrims are obligated to select a Hajj company from the system, which entails financial obligations. Selection constitutes agreement to contract with that company. Pilgrims must pay the specified percentage electronically through the system. The electronic contract is binding on both parties before the relevant authorities. The Ministry reserves the right to cancel the application if the pilgrims fail to make the required payments within the specified timeframe.The Ministry also noted that any application submitted before this announcement, after the deadline, or lacking the required supporting documents will not be considered. The Ministry stated that the process of notifying eligible pilgrims and selecting a Hajj company for the first group will take place from October 21st to November 11th, and that the selection of a Hajj company for the second group will be from November 16th to 22nd.It also stated that the selection of a Hajj company for the third group will be from November 24th to 27th, and that the Hajj Conference and Exhibition will be held from October 22nd to 24th. The deadline for submitting cancellation requests is February 27th, and the last date for air travel is May 12th.
