Courtesy of Brocoli Records Español Trending on Billboard Rawayana has acquired new management with Carlos Salas stepping into a lead management role, Billboard can announce exclusively Friday (Oct. 9). Salas will lead the Venezuelan band’s management alongside Brocoli Records’ partner Jeff D. Fontanez. The move formalizes a role that has steadily expanded over the years, with Salas — who joined Brocoli Records as an intern in 2016 — becoming increasingly involved across the band’s recorded music, touring, partnerships and overall global strategy. Related “We’re incredibly proud of Carlos and the growth he’s had within Brocoli Records and the Rawayana team,” Alberto “Beto” Montenegro, Rawayana’s vocalist and leader, says. “For both him and Jeff, it’s been many years of growing, learning and working alongside with us, and we’re very excited to have Carlos step into this new chapter representing Rawa and the new generation of talent that’s to come at Brocoli Records. Excited for many more years of growing together with the guys.” “Rawayana and Brocoli Records have been a huge part of my life for the past 10 years. We’ve grown together, taken risks together, made plenty of mistakes, and learned from every step along the way. Taking on this new role feels incredibly special after so many years of building and learning together,” Salas adds. “Having grown up watching Rawayana, if someone had told me 15 years ago that I’d be in this position today, I probably wouldn’t have believed them. I’m incredibly grateful to the Rawas, Jeff, and the entire Brocoli Records team for the trust, and very excited for everything we still have ahead of us.” The new structure follows three years of co-management between Sound of Light and Brocoli Records, a period that coincided with a significant chapter of growth for Rawayana over three album cycles and their corresponding world tours: ¿Quién Trae Las Cornetas? (2023), which earned the band their first Latin Grammy and Grammy Award wins; ASTROPICAL (2025), a collaborative album with Bomba Estéreo; and ¿Dónde Es El After? (2026), their biggest album debut to date, which produced their first Billboard Latin Airplay No. 1 hit with “Inglés En Miami” and earned them their first album of the year nomination at the Latin Grammys this year. Last May, the band signed a deal with United Talent Agency (UTA) for global representation across all areas, including touring, media, filmed entertainment, brand partnerships and more. Sound Of Light and Rawayana amicably parted ways in July. Currently on a world tour that will bring them to the U.S. starting Oct. 15 in San Francisco, Rawayana is set to appear Oct. 20 at Billboard Latin Music Week in the highly anticipated panel “Building the Tour With Rawayana” presented by Live Nation, where they will share the secrets behind their international breakthrough as an independent act along Hans Schafer, senior vp of global touring at Live Nation.
