Neagley is one of the biggest streaming shows of the year thus far, but three weeks after the release of season 1, the Prime Video action thriller series has just met the end of an era. Neagley establishes the start of a new action thriller shared universe for the streaming service, being the first Reacher spin-off. Neagley season 1 also featured Alan Ritchson's return as Jack Reacher, with the show dropping all of its eight episodes on Prime Video on September 16, the same day as the Reacher season 4 finale. This helped take franchise fans directly into the spin-off. Neagley celebrated the other main character of Ritchson's action series on Prime Video. Given how Jack Reacher is a drifter, never setting up roots anywhere, few players have managed to appear across multiple seasons. However, up until the release of season 4, Maria Sten's Frances Neagley had appeared in every season of what is one of Prime Video's most popular shows. However, as she was busy with her own show, the actress was absent from Reacher season 4. That paid off, with Neagley rising to become Prime Video's #1 series, but that era has come to an end after a new release. Neagley Is No Longer Prime Video's #1 Series After An Impressive Streak According to FlixPatrol, Neagley has just been dethroned on Prime Video's global Top 10 TV Shows chart by Mike Flanagan's Carrie series. Neagley had been ruling the streaming service's charts around the world since its debut, pushing Reacher below it after the latter concluded season 4. Flanagan's Carrie, which is based on the iconic Stephen King novel, was released on Prime Video on October 7, also dropping all of its episodes at once, like Neagley. It took two days for Neagley to be surpassed, as Carrie initially debuted at 2nd on Prime Video worldwide, surpassing Neagley this Friday, October 9. While Neagley might not be the most-watched TV show on Prime Video worldwide, with Carrie also pushing it to 2nd in the United States, the Reacher spin-off still ranks higher on the streamer's global charts than several high-profile series. Neagley leaves behind shows like Ritchson's Reacher, the adaptation of the bestselling romance novel series Off Campus, the Prime Video original mystery series Sterling Point, the drama The Trial, and many more. According to FlixPatrol, Sten's Neagley is currently trending on Prime Video in 29 countries. Neagley is still Prime Video's most popular series in one of those nations: Denmark. This Won't Hurt The Show's Future Image via Everett Collection While Neagley is no longer Prime Video's #1 TV show worldwide in less than a month from its release, the show's future has already been secured, and it looks bright. After all, Prime Video has officially announced that Neagley has been renewed for season 2. The action thriller series was also revealed to have amassed a whopping 40 million viewers around the world in its first 13 days, with Neagley said to have had the 4th biggest TV show debut in Prime Video history, which is no small feat. As such, Neagley's fall from #1, likely impacted by the show's binge release nature, is no problem.
