Railways to pay Rs 35k to passengers forced to travel standing despite confirmed tickets

Four passengers with confirmed tickets were forced to stand on the LTT-Patna Express after their berths were occupied by strangers. Despite attempts to find officials and lodge complaints, they received no assistance. A consumer court has now ordered Indian Railways to pay Rs 20,000 compensation, ticket refund, and litigation costs for the deficiency in service.
