Warning: This article includes SPOILERS for Helluva Boss season 3, episodes 1 through 7! Helluva Boss finally returned for season 3 in October, but the Prime Video show officially won’t release any new episodes in 2026. The streamer has plenty of fantasy shows to choose from, with titles like Rings of Power and The Legend of Vox Machina getting the most mainstream attention. However, Vivienne Medrano’s Hellaverse has also earned a place among the greats after building a fanbase on YouTube. Helluva Boss returned for season 3, part 1. The Prime Video series brought plenty of chaos and expletive-filled humor, leading to an ending with a surprisingly hefty dose of genuine emotion. Stolas and Via finally reunite in a heartfelt moment, though the show hints that it might not really be Via. We get a long-awaited Hazbin Hotel cameo, though it’s subtle enough that folks won’t recognize it unless they know what to look for. Blitzo and Stolas seem to actually be done, as Stolas seems fully enamored with Vassago. However, we’re only halfway through Helluva Boss season 3. Only 7 of the 15 episodes have been released in Part 1, with the final two dropping October 28. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a while for the second half, as no more episodes will be released in 2026. Helluva Boss Season 3 Isn't Returning For Part 2 Until Early 2027 Image via Prime Video The second half of Helluva Boss season 3 won’t return until 2027, but Prime Video and creator VivziePop haven’t announced a specific release date yet. However, we can estimate the timeframe using Part 1. Recording for the first half of the season wrapped in March 2026 and was released approximately seven months later in October. The voice recording for Part 2 wrapped at the end of September 2026. Following the same timeline, the new episodes will likely start releasing in April 2027. It's not going to be a super fun wait for anyone, but I predict reactions will be sharply divided between OG fans and those who started watching when the first two seasons dropped on Prime Video in 2025. Folks newer to the franchise may not feel prepared for an undefined break that will be at least two and a half months, but more likely five to six months. To be fair, that is a long time in most situations, so it's not unreasonable to be miffed. Fans who have been around since the beginning were forged in fire, though, whether they liked it or not. Helluva Boss season 1 released sporadically over 1 year, with a special episode dropping 1 year and 8 months after the final episode. Unfortunately, season 2’s release schedule was even worse. Helluva Boss season 2 episodes one to seven came out over a year and two months. The season took a seven-month break. Then, episodes eight through twelve came out sporadically over one year and four months. From this perspective, a half-year wait is nothing. Hazbin Hotel Season 3 Is Also Expected To Release In 2027 While the wait for Helluva Boss is a bummer, it makes 2027 a great year for the wider Hellaverse. In 2025, Vivienne Medrano addressed the timeline for Hazbin Hotel seasons 3 and 4. She said the wait for season 3 would be about the same as for season 2. That puts the projected release in July 2027. Unless a massive delay pushes Hazbin Hotel back by half a year, we won’t have one but two big releases next year, with only a few months between them. On top of that, the close release dates could be strategically chosen to create the long-awaited crossover between Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. They’ve been teasing this for over a year now. Brandon Rogers, the actor who voices Blitzo, confirmed that Hazbin Hotel characters show up in the Helluva Boss scripts, though he technically never said which season. Based on the timing, though, it has to be Helluva Boss season 3, creating a much bigger world going into Hazbin Hotel season 3. Helluva Boss Release Date October 31, 2020 Network YouTube, Prime Video Helluva Boss follows Blitzø, a demon in Hell who runs an assassination business targeting the living. Supported by employees Moxxie, Millie, and Loona, they navigate their chaotic work environment, relying on a magical spell book obtained from a prince of Hell to maintain their operations amid personal and professional challenges. Hazbin Hotel 7/10 Release Date January 18, 2024 Network Prime Video Hazbin Hotel is an adult animated series following Charlie, the daughter of Lucifer, as she endeavors to mitigate Hell's overcrowding by establishing a hotel for redemption-seeking demons. Amidst the chaotic environment, the unconventional staff and guests navigate conflict and challenges in their pursuit of peace.
