Polychromatic 0.9.8 Released With Razer Blade 16 2023 Support

For those looking to manage the RGB lighting and other features of their Razer devices on Linux, Polychromatic 0.9.8 is now available for that UI front-end that interacts with the OpenRazer kernel drivers for providing a decent albeit unofficial Linux configuration experience. The main highlight of Polychromatic 0.9.8 is now having a device map for the Razer Blade 16 2023 model. The Polychromatic UI can now configure the keyboard LED lighting more easily and the like with this device map now in place. Polychromatic 0.9.8 also brings updated translations as well as support for translating AppStream meta information. There are a few fixes in Polychromatic 0.9.8 too for optimizing the brightness slider to prevent lag, optimizing the application icon look-ups, and fixing a zombie process when starting the tray applet from the controller application. Polychromatic 0.9.8 downloads and more details via GitHub. If you are interested in Razer hardware on Linux and missed it, Razer is in the process of certifying their first laptop for Linux use by Canonical for Ubuntu Linux with the Razer Blade 18 2026 model.
