Confirmation of the first game of the tenth generation in Winds and Waves should be enough to placate those who prioritize the medium for a while, and The Pokémon Company is far from being done with just that. In the TCG, the 30th Anniversary set has just launched its first round of products, and fans have been ripping packs in the hope of picking up the biggest and best pulls from this latest effort. There are some very cool options on the table this time around, including 30 individual Pikachu cards, but it might be the always-mysterious Mew who has the best new design of the lot. Over on the official website for the Pokémon TCG, you can find all of the cards included in the latest set, and the 30th Anniversary release has some absolute doozies that collectors are already on the lookout for. One of the most exciting comes in the form of an entirely new rarity, and Mew is one of only two cards that you can pick it up in. The new cards are known as Futuristic Rares, a specialized card treatment introduced as part of the 30th-anniversary set, with the stated intent being to symbolize the future of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. They were designed by well-known artist YOSHIROTTEN, and its only available on Mew Ex and Mewtwo Ex, both of which have seemingly very low pull rates. Extremely rough estimates put your chances of getting one randomly at around 1 in 200 packs, and buying them individually will set you back around $150 each at the time of writing. That said, they really are very unique cards, with no similar releases from the past, so they are likely to hold their value well if you do decide to invest in one (or both). They join the RGB Mew cards, which for a long time were rumored, though many put them as potential fakes when images first emerged online. Those are even rarer than the Mew above, and you'll be looking at a considerable outlay of north of $1500 if you want to add that to any burgeoning Master Set. At the same time, there are a lot more products coming down the pipeline as part of the Pokemon 30th Anniversary drop, and the celebration will effectively be continuing until the end of the year.
