Now that Kingdom Hearts 4 is finally awake from its long slumber and actually sharing news with us, the hype cycle has started right back up again. As is the case with every new game in the series, one of the most exciting things to talk about is what Disney worlds might end up appearing in Sora’s journey. For now, the only world that we have confirmed for Kingdom Hearts 4 is Coco (although Star Wars has very obviously been teased), leaving the doors wide open for a bunch of Disney franchises. A less obvious pick for a Kingdom Hearts 4 world that doesn’t get the excitement it deserves is Phineas and Ferb, which is something the voice of Phineas really wants to see. Vincent Martella Wants Phineas To Wield The Keyblade In Kingdom Hearts 4 Aren’t You A Little Young To Fight The Heartless? Earlier this week, The Movie Dweeb had the chance to talk with Vincent Martella, the voice behind Phineas in Phineas and Ferb. During that interview, The Movie Dweeb pitched the idea of Phineas and Ferb getting some kind of representation in Kingdom Hearts 4, which Martella said he would “love”. Martella went on to say that he thinks Phineas and Ferb could build things to help Sora out, and that they could even be involved in helping reach new levels, sort of like a new Chip and Dale. Even better than that, though, is Martella’s suggestion that Phineas wields the Keyblade at some point, which I guess isn’t too far-fetched since Jack Sparrow once held it. While Phineas being able to wield the Keyblade would have a frankly wild impact on Kingdom Hearts lore, I can see the vision of a Phineas and Ferb world. Hell, you could even just have Phineas and Ferb build their own Keyblade-adjacent weapons to help fight against the Heartless. As much fun as it sounds, though, and as big as Phineas and Ferb are for Disney, we haven’t really seen Kingdom Hearts dive into TV shows when there are so many big movies to cover. Maybe a side world like the 100 Acre Woods would fit Phineas and Ferb better, but whatever the case, I’m happy to see a rogue world pick get more attention.
