Perez Hilton faces surgery and ‘long recovery’ after distressing livestream, family reveal

Police were seen outside the celebrity blogger’s home in Miami on Tuesday after members of the public reported seeing him self-harm in a TikTok livestream. In a new statement after the incident involving the 48-year-old, his family have said his treatment and recovery will be a ‘long process’. A post shared to his Perez Hilton website on Saturday confirmed he remains in hospital, adding: ‘Perez’s condition remains serious but stable. ‘He experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days. The statement added: ‘His communication has been extremely limited and confined to immediate family, medical providers, and others directly involved in his care.’ They added that Hilton ‘has not communicated with the media or issued any public statements.’ ‘As our family remains focused on Perez’s treatment and recovery, we also need the space and privacy to care for everyone affected by this situation.’ On Tuesday Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office confirmed they attended a scene of a man allegedly ‘livestreaming acts of self-harm’. Perez has three children, a son and two daughters, born via surrogate.
